Cindy, I’m not aware of any contraindication between GABA and St. John’s wort. Start at the lowest recommended dosage for each and see how you feel.I was wondering if you knew of any better brands that contain higher amounts of hyperforin than Perika (WS 5570 extract) which contains 0.2% min. St. John’s wort also has strong antibacterial[xiii] and antiviral[xiv] properties. St. John’s wort inhibits tumor cell growth.[xv]There is some clinical data showing that St. John’s wort products that contain hypericin may cause blindness.[xxvii] Both St John's Wort and almotriptan can increase the risk of serotonin syndrome. An overload of serotonin in your brain can make you very sick. And can ultimately kill you. We’re not kidding here.
